We are currently seeking a talented individual to join the Selkirk Elementary School team. SES acknowledges and respects, and are grateful for the opportunity to work, learn and play within the traditional territories of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council. Selkirk Elementary School is a Kindergarten to Grade 7 neighbourhood school aiming to foster a welcoming, safe, and inclusive educational environment; one where each student is supported to meet their full potential. This position provides an opportunity to work as a Perm 1.0 FTE First Nations Language Teacher – teaching Southern Tutchone - at SES for 2025/2026 School year. Our goal is to have healthy vibrant Southern Tutchone language program in our school – working alongside a team that includes a YFNED advocate and a Yukon First Nations Arts and Culture teacher.
