Diabetes Victoria is seeking an enthusiastic and community-driven Aboriginal Health Project Officer to join our team. This role focuses on improving diabetes health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Victorians through meaningful engagement, cultural advocacy, health promotion, and community education.
Play a key role in delivering culturally relevant diabetes programs (including Feltman and Diabetes Yarning), strengthening relationships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs), and ensuring all resources and services reflect cultural safety, access and equity principles – join us today, make a difference to our First Nations peoples!

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Please note: This role involves providing programs and services to Aboriginal individuals to promote their welfare. This role is only available to people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and meet the selection criteria. This is permitted under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth) and section 27 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic).
You will be requested to provide proof or confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
