  • Key Responsibilities

    1. Develop and implement engaging programs and activities for Indigenous youth.

    2. Provide guidance and support to young people, helping them to overcome challenges.

    3. Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

    4. Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance program offerings.

    5. Maintain accurate records and reports on program activities and outcomes.

    Essential Experience and Skills

    1. Experience working with Indigenous young people in community or educational setting.

    2. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with young people and other stakeholders.

    3. Working collaboratively with work colleagues as part of a team as well as the ability to work independently.

    4. Being flexible and able to adapt to different situations and the changing needs of young people.

    5. The ability to empathize with young people and show patience in challenging situations.

    6. Keeping accurate records and managing time effectively.

    Mandatory Qualifications

    1. Hold or be enrolled in and working towards a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care) or other recognised relevant qualification

    2. Current Blue card

    3. Current Queensland “P2” or “C” Class drivers’ licence

    4. Current CPR

    5. Current First Aid
