We’re on the lookout for a passionate and community-connected Aboriginal Health Worker to champion the health, learning, and development of Aboriginal children aged 0–5 years.
In this vital early years role, you’ll work closely with families to:
Support developmental milestones, maternal health, and school readiness
Deliver culturally safe, trauma-informed care
Run health education, early learning and support
Support children and families to learn and share Darkinyung language as part of early identity and cultural development
Advocate for families navigating health, housing, early education, and support services
Build lasting trust through yarning, play, and strength-based casework
You might come from a background in:
Early childhood education
Maternal & child health
Aboriginal family support
Community health promotion
Or you might just be deadly with families and ready to grow!
You bring:
Cultural pride and connection to community
Knowledge of 0–5 child development and parenting supports
A warm, community-first approach
Advocacy skills and a passion for helping mob thrive
An interest in supporting or delivering early language learning, especially Darkinyung
Willingness to work across our organisation in a transdisciplinary model of care.
