The team deliver work that spans communications and PR, stakeholder engagement, policy, evaluation, and First Nations advisory services – partnering with government, corporates, NGOs and Aboriginal community-controlled organisations.
The growing team of 8 committed staff are now seeking a curious, collaborative and driven professional to join as a Consultant. This is an identified position for a First Nations person with a keen interest in communications, content development, and delivering meaningful outcomes with and for communities.
Under the guidance of a Senior Consultant, you’ll help deliver projects that drive social change — from creating communications campaigns to facilitating community engagement and writing reports that influence decision-makers. You’ll gain hands-on experience in project management, stakeholder relationships, research, and business development.

Some day to day activities include:
- Lead and deliver complex projects that centre First Nations voices: from inception to completion.
- Lead and work with the team to develop and foster client service accounts – be the key point of contact and provide strategic advice, manage budgets, and build trusted relationships.
- Juggle multiple projects across different sectors and scales: from grassroots community initiatives to major government or corporate partnerships.
- Drive new business by identifying opportunities, leading on and contributing to proposals and tenders, and influencing future project direction.
- Mentor and support consultants as the team grows.
About You
You are a culturally grounded professional who can:
- Apply a strong understanding of First Nations affairs to influence programs, policy, and partnerships.
- Bring demonstrated experience in asking the right questions, listening carefully for the answers and bringing transformational ideas that address issues in innovative ways.
- Work independently and solve problems with creativity and care.
- Confidently manage competing priorities across several client projects.
- Work competently across different sectors: from government and not-for-profit to corporate, with an adaptable mindset.
- Demonstrate an advanced level of First Nations cultural understanding, how to work closely with First Nations stakeholders and how to influence policy, programs and/or clients to deliver better outcomes.
You will bring with you:
- Previous experience delivering First Nations-focused projects or programs.
- A know-how on problem solving to drive growth and business results for clients and community.
- A background in consulting, communications, government, policy, community engagement or a related field.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – written and verbal.
- Strong budgeting, reporting, and project management experience.
