The team deliver work that spans communications and PR, stakeholder engagement, policy, evaluation, and First Nations advisory services – partnering with government, corporates, NGOs and Aboriginal community-controlled organisations.
The growing team of 8 committed staff are now seeking a curious, collaborative and driven professional to join as a Consultant. This is an identified position for a First Nations person with a keen interest in communications, content development, and delivering meaningful outcomes with and for communities.
Under the guidance of a Senior Consultant, you’ll help deliver projects that drive social change — from creating communications campaigns to facilitating community engagement and writing reports that influence decision-makers. You’ll gain hands-on experience in project management, stakeholder relationships, research, and business development.

A new opportunity has opened for a Consultant to join this passionate and growing team – an Identified position for a First Nations person with a strong interest in communications, digital content and social justice. You don’t need years of experience — just the drive to learn, collaborate, and make an impact. You will be someone with fresh ideas, strong cultural values, and a passion for digital storytelling.
You’ll help deliver projects that drive social change: from creating communications campaigns to facilitating community engagement. You’ll have the exciting role of supporting a long-term contract with NAISDA – attending events, creating content, and helping to shape their digital communications strategy. You will get to work on real projects and see the impact of your work.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in:
· Social media and digital content creation (TikTok, Reels, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.).
· Writing engaging posts and stories for different audiences and clients.
· Contributing ideas to social media strategies (not just following schedules).
· Managing and updating client websites with powerful storytelling.
· Capturing event footage and turning it into impactful visual content.
· Supporting community engagement, consultations and research.
· Drafting reports, proposals and campaign content.
· Juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
Who You Are
· You’re someone passionate about working with and for community.
· You’re curious, proactive and ready to jump in and give things a go.
· You are passionate about storytelling, particularly on digital channels. You will have experience or a keen interest in working across social media and website content.
· You might have experience with Canva, TikTok, Instagram, or writing posts — or you’re keen to learn fast.
· You’re excited by the idea of shaping strategy and building something meaningful.
· You want to grow your career in a place where culture, creativity and collaboration are core values.
· You’re great with people — whether in writing, over the phone, or in the room.
Relevant studies (communications, media, social sciences, etc.) are welcomed, but lived experience, motivation, and cultural knowledge are just as valuable.
